Our Story

Thank you for visiting Oak Haven Aussies! My name is Katie, along with my husband Brian, our son Judd (3), and our daughter Jessi (1) we are the proud owners and breeders at Oak Haven. We are located on a 150 acre farm on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Our goal is to produce top quality purebred standard Australian Shepherds that will become the best family pet you will ever find. Our dogs are loving, athletic and very intelligent with the best personalities. They are AKC registered. Our pups are exposed to lots of play with children, other dogs, and cats. Our journey began for Brian when he was 13 years old at the Quarter Horse Congress in Ohio. One trip down puppy dog alley and he was headed out with his first Australian Shepherd puppy "Doc" and a big set of bull horns. Doc smiled from that very first day. He never had a dog quite like Doc. He was highly intelligent, loving, and eager to please. For 13 years he was a big part of his family.

In 2014 we got married right here in our front yard and knew we wanted to start with a fur baby before the real deal. By this time we had both developed a strong love for the breed and we knew it had to be a Aussie. What started with one soon turned into five and we were officially Aussie addicts because our love for the breed is endless. Fast forward to 2018 we welcomed a puppy wrangler of our own, a perfect little cowboy named Judd. He is the best helper. The big dogs and puppies just love him! In the summer of 2020 we welcomed a second pooper scooper, a beautiful and sweet little cowgirl named Jessi.
